2. What data we collect

When you complete an enquiry form or smart home survey on our website, we collect: your name, email address, telephone number, property address and postcode, and any details you provide about your property or project requirements.

We also collect standard website analytics data (pages visited, browser type, approximate location) through anonymised analytics tools.

3. How we use your data

We use the personal data you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a consultation or quote, and — with your permission — follow up about our services. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you tick the consent checkbox on our forms) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your form data is processed by Formspree Inc (our form processor) under their Privacy Policy. We do not share your data with any other third parties without your explicit consent.

6. Data retention

We retain your enquiry data for up to 2 years from the date of your enquiry, or until you ask us to delete it. If we complete an installation for you, we retain project-related records for 7 years as required by UK accounting law.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@sornione.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

10. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
