1. Who we are

Sornione Ltd ("Sornione", "we", "us", "our") is a home automation company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15765374). Our registered office is 264 Rugby Road, Coventry, CV3 2BD. You can contact us at info@sornione.com.

2. What data we collect

When you complete an enquiry form or smart home survey on our website, we collect: your name, email address, town or city and postcode. You may optionally provide a telephone number and details about your property or project requirements.

We do not currently use third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this website. Netlify, our hosting provider, may collect standard server-access logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes.

3. How we use your data

We use the personal data you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a consultation or quote, and — with your permission — follow up about our services. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you tick the consent checkbox on our forms) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or share personal data for third-party marketing. Enquiry data is processed by Formspree as our form-submission provider, and our website is hosted by Netlify. We do not use third-party marketing, tracking or advertising services.

6. Data retention

We retain your enquiry data for up to 2 years from the date of your enquiry, or until you ask us to delete it. Where we complete an installation, we retain project and accounting records for the period required under applicable UK legislation, which may vary depending on the type of record.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@sornione.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or profiling cookies. Essential technical storage may be used where required for core functionality or security, and Netlify may process standard server-access data.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

10. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised date.
